Cyprus Strengthens the International Presence of its Food and Beverage Products at «Summer Fancy Food Show 2026»

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Cyprus Trade Centre in New York, successfully participated in the «Summer Fancy Food Show 2026», the largest international food and beverage exhibition in North America, organised annually by the Specialty Food Association. The exhibition took place from 28 to 30 June 2026 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

As part of the strategic objectives of the Republic of Cyprus to enhance the outward orientation and international presence of Cypriot products, the Ministry participated with an information booth, aiming to highlight the richness of Cyprus’ gastronomic heritage and promote the quality, authenticity, and uniqueness of Cypriot food and beverage products.

The exhibition represents one of the most significant events in the global agri-food sector, attracting more than 10,000 industry professionals every year and hosting over 2,400 exhibitors from numerous countries, while showcasing a wide range of innovative products and emerging market trends.

Visitors had the opportunity to discover selected products that reflect Cyprus’ centuries-old culinary tradition, including Halloumi (PDO), Commandaria, as well as other distinctive Cypriot flavours. Among the visitors to the Cyprus booth was the Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus in New York, Mr. Kyriakos Poyiatzis.

Cyprus’ participation in the exhibition forms part of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry’s ongoing initiatives to support Cypriot businesses in expanding their export activities and further strengthening the presence of Cypriot products in international markets. In this context, the Trade Counsellor of the Cyprus Trade Centre in New York, Mr. Aristos Constantinou, noted that participation in the exhibition provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the Cypriot products in one of the world’s most competitive food markets. He further highlighted that the objective is not only to promote Cyprus’ agri-food sector, but also to establish meaningful business partnerships that will contribute to the growth of Cypriot exports and expand the presence of Cypriot products in the United States.
