The Trade Department of the Cypriot Embassy in Beijing started its operation in 2016. It was established as the Cyprus Commercial Center in 2019. The Beijing Commercial Center operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy, Trade & Industry and the Diplomatic Mission of Cyprus in Beijing.
Main Activities of the Trade Center are:
- Promotion of Cypriot products and services in the countries covered by the Trade Center
- Promotion of Cyprus as an International Business and Investment Center
- Organization of business events, trade missions and participation in trade fairs of products and services in the countries covered by the Trade Center
- Organizing journalists' visits to Cyprus and facilitating the publication of articles
- Placing advertisements in specialized magazines and websites for Cypriot products and services
- Promotion of Cypriot companies to potential importers through the Export Helpdesk Service by providing information on foreign markets and promoting them to potential importers with the aim of the penetration of Cypriot companies in the countries covered by the Trade Center
- Providing information on various business matters, investment plans, setting up a business in Cyprus and on legislation relating to the business environment in Cyprus.
